GOMEL, 30 March (BelTA) – An opening ceremony of a hot galvanizing plant will take place in the Rechitsa Hardware Plant on 30 March, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. It is assumed that the event will be attended by First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko who is currently on a working trip to the region alongside with the oblast authorities and government officials. The galvanizing plant in Rechitsa will be the largest manufacture of the kind in Belarus. The estimated capacity of the equipment is 2,500 units per month. The new galvanic equipment will allow for a super anticorrosive coat of a structure of 12.5 meter high and 8 tonnes by weight. The project used the technology of anticorrosive protection of steel structures by the Italian firm Gimeco, one of the global leaders in the production of special-purpose equipment and the first to develop a so-called capsular technology to provide high-level protection to environment. Hot dip galvanizing provides protection to transmission line poles, construction steel structures, railway, automobile and pedestrian bridge pillars and spans. Keeping in mind that zinc coating does not come into reaction with oil products, different solvents, lubricants, the use of this method is appropriate for application in the companies that produce, pump and refine oil. Rechitsa Hardware Plant was founded in 1912 as a manufacturer of nails and wire. Today the plant is a recognized producer of special nails and fasteners in Europe. It sells its products in almost all European countries. The plant employs 2,000 professionals.
