Belavia signs interline agreement with Ural Airlines

The Belarusian air carrier Belavia has signed an interline agreement (an agreement on mutual recognition of e-tickets) with Russia's Ural Airlines, Igor Cherginets, Belavia's Deputy Director General for Marketing and Foreign Economic Affairs, said on Facebook, BelTA informs.

"Now, the two airlines can sell tickets on each other's flights. Ahead is further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between our companies," noted Igor Cherginets.

This is Belavia's 32nd interline agreement.

Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus by the number of passengers and cargoes it transports. In January 2014 the Belarusian airline acquired a legal status of an open joint stock company. Belavia operates 27 aircraft, and offers regulars flights to 46 destinations in Europe and Asia. Belavia joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 1997 and the European Regions Airline Association (ERAA) in 2010.

Ural Airlines is among the top ten Russian air companies. In 2015 the company increased its passenger traffic by 6% to almost 5.5 million. The number of flights went up by 6% as well to 42,800. Ural Airlines operate flights to nearly 200 destinations.
