MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – Expo 2015 is a great opportunity to showcase the best products made in Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich told reporters on 15 January, BelTA has learned.

"The major goal of Belarus' participation at the Universal Exposition that will be held in Milan this year is to enhance its business appeal. Expo 2015 will give a great opportunity to present the best of Belarusian products and to find partners and investors to promote Belarus' agro-industrial complex," Vladimir Ulakhovich said.

He noted that the theme chosen for the 2015 Milan Universal Exposition is very relevant for Belarus. The expo will have a principal focus on the right to healthy, secure and sufficient food. "Our country is one of the major producers of foodstuffs on the global market. We rank first in the world in terms of per capita production of potatoes, fifth in milk production and are among Europe's biggest grain producers. There are many things Belarus can show at Expo 2015," he added.

Belarus' national pavilion will be called the Wheel of Life and will showcase the country's major assets: bread, salt and water. "Our presentation will be structured into three parts: science, business and culture. Belarusian products will be presented at our souvenir store and our restaurant," Vladimir Ulakhovich said.

Belarusian tourists are also invited to attend the exposition in Milan. The tours to the expo are being developed now. According to the official partner of Expo 2015, the company Gartour, Belarusian tourists have already submitted 300 requests to buy tickets for the expo.
