Road repairs in Belarus continue uninterrupted after EBRD funding cutoff

After the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) cut off funding for work at 13 sites of the Belarusian transport infrastructure, the work continued anyway. Belarusian First Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich pointed it out as a section of the M10 motorway was reopened to traffic, BelTA has learned. The section is located in Kalinkovichi District, Gomel Oblast. Overpasses over railways and a bridge had been reconstructed in this section.

Over 125,000 large families open family capital deposits in Belarus

As of 1 April 2023 a total of 125,056 large families have opened the deposit accounts in Belarus under the family capital program, including about 82,600 deposit accounts at the total amount of $826 million and 42,500 deposit accounts at the total amount of Br1.02 billion, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry. Belarus' food export to Kaluga Oblast up by almost a quarter in 2022

“In 2022 the trade in foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials between Belarus and Kaluga Oblast expanded by 17.2% over 2021. The export of Belarusian products rose by 23.9%, the import increased by 15.3%,” the post reads.
