About 680 Ukrainians arrive in Gomel Oblast since 24 February

Since 24 February about 680 citizens of Ukraine have arrived in Gomel Oblast through the Ukrainian border with Belarus, Gomel Oblast Governor Ivan Krupko told reporters, BelTA has learned.

By now, about 150 people have been placed in temporary accommodation facilities. “These are local health resorts and dormitories. People are provided with three hot meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are provided with everything they need. Individual needs are also taken care of,” Ivan Krupko said.

The governor also visited the border area in Bragin District and inspected the Komarin checkpoint on 13 March. The situation remains under his personal control.
